The Taubman Museum of Art has developed partnerships and collaborated on multiple projects and programs with Hollins University, Roanoke College, Virginia Tech, Radford University, Ferrum College, James Madison University, and Virginia Western Community College.
Memberships provide students with discounts to the Museum Shop and Norah's Café, invitations to special Members Only events and programs, and a subscription to our Members Only e-newsletter. Memberships for students are $10 per year and can be purchased at our Visitor Services desk or online.
Full-time or part-time internships for undergraduate students and recent graduates who are passionate about the arts and curious about museum work are available at the museum. Our internship program is a hands-on learning experience that provides students with a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at museums. The positions are unpaid, with the option of receiving credit through the intern's academic institution. For more information and instructions on how to apply, click here.
The museum offers docent-led tours of the exhibitions for college groups of ten or more people. Tours are $5 per student and all accompanying staff are free. In addition to regular tours of the exhibitions, the museum offers Museum Studies tours free of charge to college classes studying museums and museum careers.
