Gallery talks, offered by docents and museum staff, are a wonderful way to learn more about our rotating exhibitions and rich permanent collection. These twenty-minute talks are offered as part of our programming while Open Late Thursday Nights. No reservation required.
We offer adult tours for community groups, retirement communities, conventions, and other interested groups of ten or more people. These docent-led tours are $8 per person. The Taubman Museum of Art is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, to offer docent-led discussions of our exhibitions and permanent collections for those affected by memory loss. Each hour-long tour is designed to provide a welcoming space to talk about the artworks on view with a small group.
